I’m curious why “Visual Studio 10 2010” support is deprecated considering other (older) systems, such as VS 2008, Watcom, etc. are still supported. Windows SDK 7.1 (aka. 2010 build tools) is still available for download, as an ISO or Installer, and I prefer it over most of the other choices for building on Windows.
It is just the generator that is deprecated. You can still use the 2010 toolchain with the Visual Studio 11 2012 generator.
