# When is started build of target with dependency ?

Hello,  
I have first\_target building executable binary and it’s CMakeLists.txt contains add\_custom\_command(TARGET first\_target POST\_BUILD…)  
Parent CMakeLists.txt contains second\_target which is dependent on first\_target. My question is:

Does building of second\_target begin after binary executable is linked or after custom command is executed ?
