# Signing key for apt.kitware.com updated

The 2021 signing key for [apt.kitware.com](http://apt.kitware.com), which was generated and posted several weeks ago, has now replaced the 2020 key as the primary signing key. Both the repository signature and the `kitware-archive-latest.asc` file have been updated to reflect this.

As a reminder, we recommend installing the `kitware-archive-keyring` package, which will keep your keys up to date as we rotate them on an annual basis.
