Is the instruction here “[https://apt.kitware.com/](https://apt.kitware.com/)” are still supported and updated?

And if yes is there a reason why the shell script states that only Focal and Jammy are supported and block Mantic and Noble,…?

I also see that the copyright year on the page is still 2022, so I guess nobody maintains its content?

The [official CMake download page](https://cmake.org/download/) still lists that APT repository as one of the alternate distribution avenues. As far as I’m aware, it is still actively maintained, but I’m not involved in that, so one of the Kitware folks would have to provide a more definitive answer on what they officially support.

From the site:

> We currently support Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 on our repository. The repositories support x86 (64-bit only) and ARM (32-bit and 64-bit).

We’ll likely add Noble (24.04) as it is an LTS. It is still maintained and added to, but the set of versions to build for seems to have stagnated. I’ll see about what the plan going forward is.

Any update on Ubuntu 24.04 support from [apt.kitware.com](http://apt.kitware.com)?

[CMake Issue 26073](https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/-/issues/26073) tracks addition of support for Ubuntu 24.04.
