# CMAKE\_INSTALL\_FULL\_LIBDIR can't change the absolute path by CMAKE\_INSTALL\_PREFIX

include(GNUInstallDirs) 
set_property(CACHE CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX PREOPERTY VALUE "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu")
 message(STATUS "-----------------${CMAKE_INSTALL_FULL_LIBDIR}")

```

the output is: -----------------/usr/local/lib  
/usr/loca/lib is default CMAKE\_INSTALL\_PREFIX, now i want to use `set_propery` modify it, it’s failed.  
why?  
I’ve changed the value of the CMAKE\_INSTALL\_PREFIX, why didn’t CMAKE\_INSTALL\_FULL\_LIBDIR change to /usr/lib/x86\_64-linux-gnu/lib

That looks like a typo.

Also, I would probably recommend setting `CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX` from CLI (_via `-D`_).
